The genesis of Domo Taco began in early 2011 with the thought of presenting the flavors of Asia in a familiar form of tacos. Taking recipes from my father and influences from the aromas and flavors of my childhood a menu of pan-asian inspired tacos was born.
With limited funds and big aspirations jumping on the food truck wave seemed like the ticket to success. I scoured the streets of Manhattan speaking to food trucks and carts to gather information on the industry. After 6 months of research I located an old halal truck and began the retrofitting process.
By October of 2011 Domo Taco was ready to rollout and serve the people of NYC.
